Spring Looks

March 23rd, 2016

We did it Winnipeg! We made it out of Winter with less snow, but plenty more potholes. This spring, while you're cleaning up and clearing out those winter blues, why not look to the runways for some fresh inspiration for your decor. These current fashion trends can translate into beautiful spring decor to lighten your home and bring back that Vitamin D we've been missing:

1. Gingham. This gender neutral pattern takes you on a spring picnic in the park, but in the comfort of your living room. Incorporate this graphic pattern on your throw pillows or go bold by recovering an accent chair. Try it in blue or green, over the traditional red, for an unexpected fun look.

2. Denim. Denim is back my friend. This timeless classic is simple, yet chic. You also can't beat the durability of denim against a house full of kids or pets. Adding a denim slip cover over your current sofa will not only give a strong base, but will also add some colour back into the room.

3. Large-scale Florals. Florals have always been a part of deisng througout the ages, but this spring, up your floral game in both size and colour. Bold, graphic floral wallpaper (yes, it's back) is a great way to spruce up a hallway or a small powder rom. Spring and floral go hand-in-hand, and this trend is bound to brighten your home.
